Head of School
I became Shoreline Christian School’s head of school in July 2018. I engage our community to live out its mission locally and globally, integrating faith and learning in action. I also ensure that we achieve individualized learning at the highest levels within a community dedicated to belonging. Previously, I served for 15 years as a professor and program director at Pepperdine University, Azusa Pacific University, and the Los Angeles Film Studies Center. As a cinematic artist, I value collaborative creativity as an essential expression of who we are and as a critical means to problem solving. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer, Fulbright Scholar, and documentarian, I've known cross cultural experiences and diversity to be powerful teachers. I earned a BA in English at Wheaton College, an MFA in Cinema-TV Production at the University of Southern California, and an EdD in Educational Leadership at UCLA. I’m always open for a conversation, so please feel free to contact me.
